Documentation
Enough to use everything. The reference pages land with the first public build; what they will cover is listed below so you can see whether the thing you need is in scope before you wait for it.
What the docs cover
| Section | What is in it |
|---|---|
| Install | One binary per platform, and what the installer does on first run. |
| Quickstart: the native agent | The CLI and the VS Code panel, from a bare machine to a verified diff. |
| Quickstart: gateway, per tool | Six pages mirroring the works-with pages, each with the exact configuration line for current versions. |
| Rules files | haybox.md, importing CLAUDE.md / AGENTS.md / .cursorrules, precedence, and the budget notices. |
| Policy file | Routing modes, protected paths, budget caps, and the three scopes. |
| Model Manager | Detection, recommendations, and installing through Ollama, LM Studio or a llama.cpp server. |
| Ledger and exports | The Waybill, the daily and monthly views, and the CSV and PDF exports with their methodology. |
| Shadow Mode and sampled comparisons | Running the audit, reading the report, and how an estimate becomes a measurement. |
| Troubleshooting | Route health, cooldowns, failover, and what a quiet endpoint looks like from the outside. |
| FAQ | The questions the Discord asks most. |
Until then
The pages on this site already carry the parts that do not depend on a shipped binary: what each feature guarantees, what the router controls, what the Ledger records, and how savings are measured.
- How it works — the loop, in the order you meet it
- Works with your tools — the three-step shape of every gateway setup
- Rules files — precedence and the files that are read natively
- Benchmarks methodology — what is measured and what is not published
Questions the docs do not answer yet are worth asking in the community.
See what your own traffic says.
Shadow Mode reports on the traffic you already have. Before that exists for you, the calculator will estimate it from your GPU and your monthly spend, and show you every assumption it used to get there.
